Surprisingly, Mediocre.....

Sade is one of my favorite artist and she puts on one of the best concerts I've ever, I mean EVER, witness. When I heard Sade was releasing a new CD, it was a must have. I pre-ordered it so I could have it the first day it was released. First of all, Sade is back... sounding good and looking good as ever. The bad news is the CD did not meet my expectations. This is why I waited so long to write a review, giving the CD a chance to grow on me. This project failed to pull me into Sade's world, and I wanted to be pulled in sooooo baaad. I liked "Solider of Love", "Babyfather", and "In Another Time," but as a project something was missing and I can't quite put my hands on it (probably because of my jaded Sade glasses). But do be warned, don't play this CD while driving tired (DWT), playing this CD and DWT is a no-no.... Since it's been 20+ years since Sade & the band played together, this CD was probably the trial run project, giving them a chance to get familiar with each other again. So the next project should be off the chain, as long as they don't wait another 20+ years to produce it.... In summary, I blame this mediocre project on the band, surely it's not my Boo's, Sade, fault....


Worth the Wait

I have been a fan all my life and ten years was definitely worth the wait. The writing on this project is profound and Sade brings the same soothing voice I fell in love with decades ago. Worth the wait!!!!!!

The first time I listened to this CD I thought it was just okay. The more I listened the better it got. Sade is fantastic.

Ok it's been 10 years, I love Sade and couldnt wait for her return after 10 years she's still crying about lost love. Even the bass line is gone, ugh what a disappointment.
