Album Description
Performer and songwriter Mariah Carey has set April 15th as the in-store date for the most eagerly anticipated album of the year, E=MC˛. The 11th studio album of her career, E=MC˛ is the follow-up to The Emancipation Of Mimi, Mariah's worldwide 10 million selling #1 album, which generated three Grammy awards (including Best Contemporary R&B Album), 2 #1 singles and countless more industry honors during its 18-month stay on the charts. The first single from E=MC˛ is "Touch My Body," written and produced by Mariah Carey, C. "Tricky" Stewart, and The-Dream, and blasting out worldwide on February 12th. The video for "Touch My Body" was directed by feature filmmaker Brett Ratner - Internet, cable and network premieres for the video will be announced in the weeks ahead. In addition to C. "Tricky" Stewart and The-Dream, other guest producers joining Mariah on E=MC˛ will include Jermaine Dupri, DJ Toomp, Stargate, Will I Am, Bryan Michael Cox, Nate "Danjahandz" Hills and James Poyser.. E=MC˛ is executive produced by Mariah Carey and Antonio "LA" Reid, Chairman, Island Def Jam Music Group.
The Emancipation Of Mimi, released April 12, 2005, was an industry phenomenon for the mega-platinum award-winning superstar - Soundscan's biggest-selling album of the year, bringing total sales of Mariah's albums, singles and videos to more than 160 million worldwide, making her the most successful female recording artist in history. Mimi featured "We Belong Together" (winner of the Best Female R&B Vocal and Best R&B Song Grammys) and "Don't Forget About Us," Mariah's 16th and 17th #1 career singles respectively. They tied one of the most enduring chart records in Billboard Hot 100 history, Elvis Presley's 17 #1's. Mariah is now positioned as the only active recording artist in the 48 years of the Hot 100 (which began in 1958) with the potential to surpass the Beatles' all-time high of 20 #1 hits.

Fun album
I like it. Just like all of her albums before, this has a little fun and playful edge about it. She adjusts to the trend and keeps up. Her voice is still amazing.
Mariah is still#1
No matter what people say.. Mariah did a great job on this cd. She has fun upbeat songs. my favorite song are " I stay in love", " Im that chick" for the record" ( fan understand that song) ill be loving you long time and Touch my body", Love story.
I cant wait for the tour!!!!
Frightening!
A Complete Waste Of Time And Money. I've Always Been Mariah's #1 Fan, I Have All Of Her Cd's, Imports, DVDs Etc. I Lost A Connection With Her When She Released "Charmbracelet", Something Was Just "Missing"... I Was'nt Touched At All. I Decided To Give It Another Chance With "Emancipation Of Mimi", That Was Another Dissapointment. Now, Here We Have E=MC2 And I Can Honestly Say That I Am "So- Over" Mariah Carey. She's Definatley Lost One Of Her Biggest Fans, I Honestly Do Not Like Her Music, Her Voice Is Withering And The Hip-Hop/Rap Beats With Tired Lyrics Is Annoying. The Magic In Her Voice Is Completely Gone, The Enchanting Ballads That Had Me Captivated No-Longer Exsist. This Album Could've Easily Been Sang By Keyshia Cole, Monica, Ashanti, Danity Kane, Pussycat Dolls Or Any Of The Other Boring Hip-Hop/Rnb Chicks Out There.
One of Mariah's worst albums to date!!
I have been a Mariah fan for many years and I have to say this is one of her worst albums to date. It certainly is not as successful as, "The Emancipation of Mimi," where every track on that album was great! It more than likely won't earn her a Grammy either and I get the feeling that she rushed to make this album. She didn't point as much vocal talent on this album, like she did on the last one or on her early albums she released in the 90's. The best song on this album is her #1 single "Touch My Body." It could've been better!
Another disappointment from Mariah
I admire Mariah Carey's songwriting talents, however I was absolutely disappointment with this CD. I thought the last album, her comeback album was overrated and this one is far worse. Instead of buying it, I check out at a local library. The songs, including that overrated song, Touch my Body was boring. I miss the old Mariah Carey from the 90s, but I know those days are gone. I think some of the artists' music like Mariah whom, I grew up with has gone downhill. Mariah Carey is a talent vocalist but her change to the hip hop culture is not her style.
