Customer Reviews
O no!
I was all set to buy this CD but on reading the reviews and realising Wham or Mariah Carey aren't amongst the tracks; no can do! Have to add that the thought of having to listen to cover versions by unknowns is off putting too - Missed opportunity.
dissapointing
I kind of trusted on the reviews.Ok there are some great songs on it,the classic but also a lot of rubbish.A great number of songs (even some famous ones) sound like they were recorded with electronic music.
I'm going to look for a cd with maybe less songs but more quality.
Now and then !
With The Now series you know what you are going to get, a collection of great and not so great pop tunes which have graced the charts. Now XMAS is a collection 61 tunes which have done exactly that in this case the christmas charts for the last 45 years. Can you have a favourite yes, are you going to like everything probably not but pop fans can buy knowing that this is going to offer variety and top 10 ten tunes for every occasion.
it will do for now
the best Xmas cd on the market at present - but not as good as the red cover Best Christmas Album in the World Ever which came out in 1995ish. To be fair this one has virtually everything but misses several key tracks - Shakin Steven's Merry Christmas Everyone, The Pretenders 2000 Mile and the Wham version of Last Christmas. It would be in bad taste for me to complain that theres no Rock and Roll Christmas by Gary Glitter but there you go. Other than these exceptions it has everything.
i think that sony bmg should grow up...
i think that sony bmg should grow up and let mariah carey and wham onto this album instead of trying to make us buy christmas hits. shame on you sony bmg for ruining the best xmas album!
