Caveat Emptor!
Buyer Beware - you really do get what you pay for...
I bought these cables to connect up a Sony KDL-32W4000 TV, a Sony HT-SS1300 AV Amp, a Sony BD-S550 Bluray player and a Humax HDR Freesat recorder. They worked OK for the basic transmission of picture and sound, but I had all sorts of problems with the Bravia Sync control system. The TV would keep losing its HDMI Control functions and fail to recognise the other Sony components. Sometimes the TV remote would control the AV Amp, other times not - the TV reverting to its own internal speakers. Occasionally the Bravia Sync system became so confused I had to do a full reset on the TV.
After talking to Sony, they suggested that the HDMI cables were just not up to it. To be fair, Sony didn't try to push their own, much more expensive, cables; just that I needed High Speed, fully HDMI 1.3a spec ones.
So I have now bought the High-Speed PLATINUM HDMI Cable (Full-HD 1080p v1.3b 10.2Gbps) from HD Cables (via Amazon). Result? Everything is now performing correctly, but even better, the picture quality is far superior with much better detail, contrast and colour saturation.
So I cannot recommend these cables for anything other than a basic HD Ready setup.
Sound problems
Switched from AV cables to this product for Blu Ray Dvd player. Picture is fine but having problems with sound which is fuzzy and low everytime the player is turned on. You pull the cable out and push it back in and the sound becomes fine but obviously this is a bit of an annoying process.
Does the Job
Delivery service was excellent. So far there have been no probles linking between Panasonic DMR-EX78EB-K Freeview+ 250GB HDD DVD Recorder and Panasonic TX-32LZD85 - 32" Widescreen Viera 1080P Full HD LCD TV,
First flat screen I have so don't know any difference with regard quality but it works for me.
Ideal for Home Theatre/Console Set-Up
This is proving to be a robust and high quality product, priced low to mid-range. Braid cable is robust, and 1.2 metre length is more than enough for most people for the "drop" from TV to Sky box/gaming console - it helps minimise the inevitable "spaghetti" effect behind the TV!! Delivery was fast, and nice, positive "click" into the HDMI slots on my Sony TV, generating excellent quality video and audio signals (I run full 1080p and i HD through these cables) - no need to pay a fortune - Highly recommended.

after a while the sound just went on/off/on/off for a while then stopped but happend again. changed cable for a £20 one from currys problem solved.
