Product Description
Jerking is a traditional style of barbecuing. This paste, when rubbed sparingly into meat should be left overnight for best results, then grilled or roasted slowly. Adjust to your taste...if you like it mild, or HOT! HOT! HOT!

This stuff is the "real deal"
I have tried them all and THIS is the one! All of you Jamaican Jerk lovers can stop looking - this is the best authentic "wet" jerk seasoning in the world!! Nothing beats it!
Good if you love VERY Salty Vinegary food
I saw all the great reviews on this item and decided to try it out myself. I couldn't wait to cook up some jerk chicken for my friends.
However, I was very disappointed when with the final product. The paste itself was very salty and VERY VERY vinegary. I thought cooking will mellow it out. It didn't. I will not buy or even use this again. The taste and the sharp scent of vinegar overpowers the other spices and the flavor of the meat.
Authentic Jerk Flavor!
I brought some of this back from Jamaica a few months back, and am running low. I was tickled to see it available on Amazon. If you are looking for authentic jerk spices for your chicken, this is it!
Try these ideas...
Put about 6 lbs. of chicken breast or pork roast in a crockpot, add about 2 tbl of Walkerswood, and slow cook for 8 hours. Drain the liquid off THROUGH A STRAINER and set liquid aside. Dump the strainer contents back into the meat. Use two forks and shred meat barbeque style. Add about 1-3 tbls of Walkerswood (depending on your personal heat index) and mix well, adding enough liquid back to keep it very moist. Put in an airtight container and let it sit in the fridge overnight. Serve it, reheated, on buns, add a bit of cole slaw if you like, and it will disappear much quicker than you want it to.
Also, try a tablespoon in homemade chile and spaghetti sauce!
Crock it baby!!
Dude!! Buy the big pack of chicken thighs, rub them down with Walkerswood, put them in a crock pot, dump the rest of the jar on top. Go to work, come home, and Holy Moses!! This stuff is awesome! Nothing better.
