On hot summer days nothing beats a scoop of snow--to eat! This delightful Snowman churns out bowlfuls of shaved ice in just seconds. Kids can slurp flavored sno-cones for a birthday party and adults can sip frozen daiquiris for evenings on the deck. Two 4-inch round plastic molds with lids are included for freezing water, syrup-flavored water, or fruit juices. Simply place the frozen round (regular ice cubes will work, too, but not as well) in the blade unit, cover with the motorized top, and press down on the palm-size operating button. A bowl placed underneath (not included) catches the instant snow. For safety the sharp blade is completely internal and not accessible to fingers when the Snowman is operating. The machine measures 13 inches high when assembled, with an 8-inch-square base. A one-year warranty covers the Snowman against defects. --Ann Bieri

Real Snow!

This is the BEST snow cone maker out there! Simple to use and clean up, works like a champ and makes real, fine grained SNOW for your snow cone - not chunks of ice like others. Use preformed blocks of ice (plasitic ice molds are included) not ice cubes and you will love this machine. Safe for the kids too, as the blade is enclosed and doesn't move - the ice does! Shaves a pint of ice in about a minute or less - fast and easy. Use it to make snowballs on a hot summer day - it's that good! Not for carnivals/parties as the output is limited by the size of the ice block that can fit in the machine - makes about 1 pint of "snow" per ice block. You'll love it!

The Hamilton Beach Snowman Ice Shaver is the biggest hit. My daughter has always craved shaved ice and could not be happier with this product!

Fun

My children enjoy getting out the ice shaver occasionally. I got it for my four year old son for Christmas last year when he asked for snow. Of course adult supervision is required. But my older children have no problem working it, and it is fun.

Margaritas anyone?

This Ice Shaver is the best thing thats ever happened to us when it comes to making Margaritas. This thing grinds ice for the rim of the cup very easy, the only work you have to do is push down. Now, I used to grind and push down so it was a lot of work but now, pushing down is all. Highly recommended for the price

Just as good as the ones at the fair!

My wife and I just had the shaved ice snow cones at the local fair and wanted a machine to make our own at home. We purchased this unit from amazon and bought quality syrups from hawaiian shaved ice. We are very pleased and quite surprised the cones are just as good as the fair ones. Sure, the ice does shrink some when you add the syrup...but isn't that the best part...like the bottom half of the snow cone at the fair.
