No Guns To Town - Natty King Album Launch - Kingston, Jamaica

Roots and culture singer, Natty King launched his debut album No Guns To Town last Wednesday in Kingston. No Guns To Town is the highly successful single which reached number one on the local charts and which was responsible for bringing the singer to national prominence.
The album contains 18 tracks with a bonus 19th track, as well as two DVDs which highlight some of the songs on the album.
"I have waited a long for this and I'm happy that the project has reached its triumphant conclusion," Natty King said.
The man from east said that apart from the title track, he was pleased with all the songs on the album and the message they carried, but singled out Equality for special mention.
"Equality is a song that I am particularly proud of because of the message. Equality preaches the message of equality all over the world that even the blind can see and appreciate it," Natty King, whose real name is Kevin Roberts, said.
The singer thanked all the musicians and others who worked on his debut album but gave special praise to his manager and executive producer of the album, Jimmy Ricks, and old-school DJ Trinity.
"Trinity and Jimmy Ricks worked with me on this album and I want to publicly thank them for their strong and loyal support during the 10 months it took us to complete No Guns To Town," the singer said.
Natty King also thanked his loyal fans for their support and expressed the view that "without you (fans), I would not have been able to do this album. Thank you very much."
The various guest speakers at the launch all hailed the singer for the positive nature of his lyrics and all praised his efforts on his first album.
Desmond Young, president of the Jamaica Federation of Musicians, heaped accolades on Natty King, saying that it is good to know that there are still singers out there who still try to enrich and uplift reggae music.
Dr Carolyn Cooper, who was the special guest speaker at the launch, gave her blessings to the album as she traced the history of the singer and his positive contribution to the development of Jamaica's music.
Luciano, Jah Mason, Turbulance and Chezidek, among others, all performed on the night.
