News from Trinidad is that charges are to be laid against four popular entertainers today. The charges include using obscene language and assault causing bodily harm outside a nightclub in Port Of Spain. Come on now, Machel Montano and others are to be charged in connection with the Russell Pollonais beating recently at Zen.

Warrants were expected to be issued today by a Justice of the Peace at the Port Of Spain Magistrates Court. The police are hoping they will not have to execute the warrants and instead the suspected entertainers will voluntarily surrender.
Trinidad and Tobago police have been finalizing their investigations prior to formally pressing charges. One of the suspected entertainers was holding an extended conference with their lawyers in preparation for the charges being laid. We suspect this might be Mr. Montano.
ttgapers reported earlier about the
incident outside Zen [9], where a patron, Russell Pollonais claimed he was beaten by Machel Montano and a host of other soca artistes while attending a party at Club Zen in Port Of Spain, Trinidad. Pollonais ended up in the hospital nursing multiple injuries with his friends saying it was the soca artistes that did the damage.
Two other entertainers' names have been popping up in the Trinidad and Tobago press. One is Benjai and the other is Kernal Roberts, son of the late Lord Kitchener. In the
statement made by Machel Montano [10], both Benjai and Kernal were present on the night of the incident. Machel and his friends were all liming by Rainorama, the home of Kernal Roberts prior to them going to Club Zen where are the drama ensued.
Machel Montano on multiple occasions
refuted claims Pollonaise made [11], and also held a
press conference [12] with his lawyer and friend at his side, professing his innocence by laying out a story that began the night before the incident.
Pollonais on the other hand, since being released from hospital has not named Machel Montano in the scandal when making his press release with his attorney at his side. We will keep you informed as news comes in.
