| IN GENERAL TERMS, IT IS ALWAYS GOOD TO HEAR OF AN ARTISTE WHO IS RECOGNISED BY A BIG NAME LABEL....HOWEVER, HOW DOES THIS SEEM WHEN VIEWED AGAINST A REPORT I CAME ACROSS THAT THE FOLKS IN THE JAMAICAN COMMUNITY OF AUGUST TOWN HAVE DEMONSTRATED THAT THEY WANT SIZZLA TO LEAVE THIER COMMUNITY??...THEY HAVE ASSIGNED BLAME TO HIM AND OTHERS IN HIS COMPANY FOR THE RECENT UPSURGE OF VIOLENCE THAT HAS DEVASTATED THE FRAGILE PEACE OF THE AREA AN D LEFT SEVERAL INURED OR DEAD. ONE HAS TO ASK......HOW FAR FROM THE TRUTH IS THIS?....DO ARTISTES REALLY CONTRIBUTE TO WANTON MURDER?.......IF SOME DO...WHAT STEPS CAN FANS TAKE TO ENCOURAGE/COMPELL THEIR MORAL COMPLIANCE?....IS IT REALLY THAT EASY TO REVERE THEIR MUSICAL TALENT WHILE IGNORING THEIR MORAL DEFICIENCIES? |

well maverikk,
that is sticky cause nuff artist worldwide don't practice what they preach. e.g. Jacko, r. Kelly and others.
i don't think artists/stars etc. owe anyone moral compliance. the only way the public can compel them is by hitting them where it hurts and that is in the pocket. boycott shows/sales etc.
