Hey yunno through all this, all I woory about is if them bwoy dem want to kill our reggae music. I beleive that whole batty man thing, is an infringement of one's right to free speech. They can't tell Beenie Man what to sing. What about the people who openly show hate to blacks? Why don't they turn up the heat on them! Besides, how could music incite a man to kill a batty man? It's just entertainment. That is what dancehall is about. A dj will call another dj a batty man, although if he's not. Does that make him a homo? Look at this, I started off looking at homosexuality as a WRONG thing even before I started off loving reggae music. HOw come? Because in the bible it says that it is an ABOMINATION. Sodom and GOMORAH. People might say that it's not true, but people say anything to defend slackness. If I listen to an artist sing 'fire pon battyman', the only thing I would do is sing it over for the most. I would NOT burn someone to death because of that song. So, all you gay guys, sin if you like, BUT LEAVE MY BLOODCLAAT REGGAE MUSIC ALONE!!!

nah all of you. Beenie is brilliant but unfortunately wrong - I think its just generally wrong to judge another when you dont understand. but of course everyone has the right to free speech. I don't associate sexual preference or even religion with any kind of music - if others do, so be it. Its annoying when those who do make great records, which I cant help but like.

please don't use the weapons of Babylon in propagating intolerance. you have the right not to be ok with homosexuality, I myself question the why of its existence. but Jah controls everything on earth and teaches us the love between human people. and of course free speech is important but i do think that the artists now have forgotten one of the most important message ever delivered by reggae music: love each other and equality of rights for everybody.
