Brian Sirjusingh, the Buckingham Palace chauffeur, who allegedly took money from two News Of The World reporters to show them around the Royal Palace is originally from Trinidad and Tobago. Sirjusingh was a constable at a San Fernando police station before emigrating to the United Kingdom around eight years ago.
Sirjusingh told friends he planned to pursue a law degree while in England, however this never Brian Sirjusinghmaterialized. His conduct is now the subject of an investigation by Buckingham Palace, after a weekend expose by British newspaper tabloid, News Of The World, alleging that he took 1,000 pounds sterling to give two men posing as Middle East businessmen a private tour of the royal garage.

During the tour, Sirjusingh, on video and audio tape, is heard making statements about Queen Elizabeth II and inviting the men to sit in her limousines. The story has caused an uproar in the UK, with Scotland Yard reportedly probing the breach of security.

ttgapers.com has learned that Sirjusingh lived in a village near San Fernando and worked for several years at the Marabella Police Station where he became a driver of patrol vehicles, with a stint as an E-999 responder, after taking special training at Police Barracks.

A colleague said yesterday, "We always knew he would make it far because he never wanted to stay a small-time police. He wanted to do law." Sirjusingh is said to have left for the UK with a relative who is a nurse there. He has since resigned from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
