Anya Ayoung-Chee in sex tape scandal - Former Trinidad and Tobago Miss Universe contestant
Filed under: News|Trinidad and TobagoFormer Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2008 contestant, Anya Ayoung-Chee has a sex tape which was supposedly swiped from the laptop of her boyfriend, Wyatt Gallery. According to TMZ, Wyatt Gallery confirmed Ayoung-Chee was in the tape with him and another woman, but the other woman was not Miss Japan Hiroko Mima. Gallery claims the video with him, Ayoung-Chee and another unidentified woman was swiped while at a PC repair shop in Trinidad.
According to TMZ, Gallery says, “I feel sorry, horrible and embarrassed for Anya, her family and myself”, while suggesting that the tape was leaked intentionally to harm Ayoung-Chee’s thus far, stellar career. According to Wikipedia, Anya was born in Trinidad and is of Chinese, Indian and Caucasian decent.
How Anya met Hiroko Mima was addressed since Miss Universe national director for Trinidad and Tobago was close friends with Ines Ligron, the person in charge of the Japan pageant. Hiroko had been looking forward to meeting Miss Trinidad and Tobago, and when they met, they commented on how they look alike. A Miss Universe pageant representative has already distanced themselves from the scandal
stating, “This was apparently eight months after the pageant and neither were the reigning titleholder. The photographer is NOT a Miss Universe staffer so we have nothing to say or any involvement ... thank goodness.”
Wyatt Gallery also stated that, “this was a private moment that was never supposed to be made public... This was an intentional, malicious sabotage against Anya and her career ... and I feel stupid for not deleting the files off of my computer.”
From 2003 to the present Anya has been a member of the TallMan Foundation which was established by her family for the empowerment of young people in underprivileged areas. In 2008 the United Nations Association of Trinidad and Tobago (UNATT), asked both Anya and Gabrielle Walcott to be spokeswomen and champions for the fledging group. Both young women emphatically accepted the championship during their reign. UNATT the NGO arm of the United Nations which aims to advocate the United Nations and the Millennium Development Goals through their demographic and age group.
