Brian Lara house robbed in Trinidad
Filed under: Cricket|Trinidad and TobagoFormer West Indies and cricketing great Brian Lara's house was broken into and TT$8,500 was stolen. According to police the thief was known to Lara and was an "inside job". Lara chose not to press charges against the accused, who has not been identified.
The thief broke into Lara's palatial mansion on Lady Chancellor Road, St. Clair. Lara left the money in his cash pan since October of last year. The bandit made a bee line for the cash pan and cleared out all the money.
Lara made the discovery of the missing money around 6am last Saturday and immediately notified the St. Clair Police Station. When the police visited his home at Knaggs Hill and eventually identified the suspect, Lara decided not to press charges.
