Crack Baron Guilty of Drug Smuggling

The biggest crack cocaine baron ever arrested in the United Kingdom was today facing up to 25 years in jail for heading a $170 million international drugs network. Lincoln White, 39, a Jamaican national who divided his time between Montego Bay and London but had contacts stretching across the Caribbean, South America, Europe and Africa, is believed by police to be the single largest importer, manufacturer and distributor of crack cocaine caught in Britain.
He was found guilty alongside five others of conspiracy to import and distribute class A drugs by a jury at Kingston Crown Court.

The trial, which began 10 weeks ago, heard that White was a central figure in a multi-million pound cocaine network with its tentacles stretching from Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, Mexico, the Antilles and Grenada to the UK, providing drugs for sale on British streets from London to the north of England.

As well as White, from Dulwich, south London, Errol Williams, 30, from Brixton, south London; Michael Small, 37, from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire; Julio Vispo, 36, from Streatham, south London; Maxine Hemmings, 37, from Mitcham, Surrey, and Janet Scott, 41, from Lewisham, south east London, were all convicted of one count of conspiracy to import class A drugs and one count of conspiracy to supply.
