Abdul Kareem Ibrahiim, 62, from Trinidad and Guyanese national Abdel Nur, 57, are both wanted on six charges while Abdul Kadir, 56, former Guyanese Member of Parliament, is wanted on seven charges in connection with a plot to blow up fuel lines at JFK Airport in New York. They were ordered extradited to the United States.

Proboodat Joucoo was sentenced to 15 years on Wednesday after he walked into the New York courtroom branding his victim a sinner. A report by the NY Daily News said "Joucoo was sporting a white T-shirt on which he had scrawled the words "unfaithful" and "home breaker" to describe the woman he attacked during a family birthday party two years ago."

The escaped prisoner has claimed to have been religiously persecuted, tortured and subject to inhumane treatment. All charges in connection with alleged rape of a young Guyanese woman by Jagadguru Swami Ram Tripathi Maharaj have been dropped by the State. Assistant DPP Roger Gaspard call the evidence tenuous at best and decided to drop all charges against the first Jagadguru in the last 700 years.
