A man who attempted to pass through a hole in a fence which prevents people from crossing the Western Main Road near the vicinity of the Bayshore Towers, Cocorite was hit by a car on Saturday morning and died at the Port of Spain General yesterday.
By Gyasi GonzalesEverton Weekes, 27 of La Puerta Avenue, Diego Martin was pinned to the front of a car sometime around 1 a.m. after being hit by the vehicle which was heading west. Police said that Weekes was just about to emerge from the opening when the car slammed into him.
The man was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital while the driver of the car was treated for minor injuries.
