Trinidad and Tobago made amends for a 2-1 defeat to Bermuda in Trinidad last weekend, with a 2-0 victory tonight in Hamilton, Bermuda before a sellout crowd. Bermuda was hoping for an improbable victory against the top rated Caribbean team. The goal scorers on the day were Daryll Roberts who is currently unattached from any club team and English First Division striker Stern John.

Soca Warriors supporters are eagerly anticipating the friendly against England on Sunday. Even Dwight Yorke, in an abrupt about turn, has decided to play for Trinidad & Tobago once more, since England arrived on Thursday. England midfielder Steven Gerrard has also stated that it is going to be a "tough, tough game against Trinidad."

The much anticipated international friendly between the Soca Warriors and England is at risk of being cancelled after the Trinidad and Tobago government placed what FIFA VP Jack Warner is calling "onerous conditions" on use of the National Stadium for the game.

Media reports today indicate that the TTFF and the English FA are in talks to have England play Trinidad and Tobago's Soca Warriors in commemoration of TTFF centenary celebrations. The plan will be halted if FIFA VP, CONCACAF President and TTFF Special Advisor Jack Warner does not retract his recent statement about English football.

Jack Warner and the TTFF have been telling the blacklisted Soca Warriors who are taking them to court that income for the concluded World Cup campaign to Germany was TT$18 million. However, using the Freedom on Information Act, the Soca Warriors' lawyers have confirmed the amount was TT$205 million if TT$32 million provided from the government is also included.

There is outrage in England today after an interview with Jack Warner, FIFA Vice President and CONCACAF President, and the BBC. Mr. Warner is strongly opposed to giving Europe and or England the World Cup for 2018, since it is the next time that CONCACAF will be eligible to host the World Cup. TTFF Special Advisor Jack Warner touched on the current impasse between the Trinidad and Tobago World Cup team members and the TTFF. Currently the senior players who represented this country at the World Cup in Germany have been blanked from national duty as an impasse continues with regards to payments of bonuses they claim are owed to them.

Sixteen of Trinidad and Tobago's 2006 World Cup heroes will now see their employers in court after the Soca Warriors officially launched legal proceedings against the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) and its president Oliver Camps yesterday morning.

The future of international football in Trinidad and Tobago now rests in the hands of attorneys. Sport Minister Roger Boynes had that to say after he held discussions with the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF)and the 16 national football players who have sued the body.
