Radio disc jockey Jason Alleyne aka Jus Jase is due to be the guest of Black Entertainment Television?s (BET) video jockey Tigger on the network?s popular Rap City Da Bassment show.
Alleyne is scheduled to leave the country today for Friday?s taping at CBS Studios in New York.
The two-hour long show will allow viewers to get to know Jase through an interview section, listen to his mix of music and enjoy the latest in rap music videos.
Alleyne?s BET break comes at a time when the international spotlight seems to be falling on him.
Last year he was chosen by the New York based Tech.Nitions as the number one top disc jockey from among 10 entrants worldwide.
The Tech.Nitions is a worldwide movement of top DJs and on air-personalities in the world.
MTV?s La La and Sway are among the Tech.Nition?s most famous personalities.
Alleyne is the only Tech.Nition from the Caribbean.
The Petit Valley disc jockey also caught the attention of Mad Soul Clothing company executives who loved his look and decided to sponsor him.
Mad Soul is an urban fashion company with a fan base like Jay Z?s Rocawear clothing label.
Being the Tech.Nition, Alleyne said, puts him in touch with some of the hottest record labels and artists in the US.
?So when you hear me talk about getting information from Bad Boy Entertainment, I actually got the information from these people. I?m not reading it from any magazine.?
Given the success of Vincentian artist Kevin Lyttle, Alleyne said he intends to use his time on air to properly promote local music.
?I don?t know what I?ll be playing yet but I?ll be including some soca in the mix.
?I know that I?ll make this country proud.
?I done pick up T&T flag already to take with me.?
