The Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, February 14 and 15, 2004 at the Longg Beach Arena in Long Beach, California. Roots reggae legend, Burning Spear, has been added to the Festival lineup and will join Beres Hammond, Wayne Wonder, and Julian Marley in headlining the first day of the two day festival on February 14.
Despite previous assurances from the artist through his management to Festival organizers he would be fine to perform at the Festival, his wishes were denied by his physicians. Beenie Man recently suffered a number of injuries (including fractured ribs/punctured lung) being involved in a car accident on a Kingston, Jamaica highway when his Hummer H2 ran off the road and flipped over. He is now home recovering in his hometown of Kingston. He expressed his disappointment in not being able to perform at the Festival, and gratitude for the support of his fans who had planned to see his performance on the 14th.
