Wayne Wonder, The Star's featured artiste for June, and Lovers Rock King Beres Hammond are going to the Olympics in Athens, Greece this August.

Don't expect to see them doing any form of sports however, because their role is strictly musical.

The two musicians will be included on one of three official Olympics compilation albums, which will also feature several of the world's leading artistes.

In a story about the album published in the May 25 edition of Billboard magazine, the name given to the album is Unity, and it will feature different artistes from 15 countries across the world.

The story names acts such as Sting, Alice Cooper, Earth Wind & Fire, Lenny Kravitz, Rachid Taha, Trevor Horn, Yiannis, and Destiny's Child who will also be on the album.

Of the 16 tracks on the album, only two are not collaborations. Canadian Avril Lavigne and English rapper Mr. G appear alone.

For the album, Beres appears with Les Nubians on Going All The Way, while Wayne Wonder appears with Neneh Cherry with Eyes On The Prize.

The Unity album appears under the EMI-Capitol Records banner, and is scheduled for release on August 10.

This is not the first time tracks from Beres Hammond and Wayne Wonder have been included on international soundtracks.

Beres appeared on the soundtrack of the movie Babymother, while Wayne Wonder more recently scored with a track on the flick Grind and in the movie Fifty First Dates.
