Armed robbers reportedly took off with jewellery, household goods, and an SUV belonging to deejay Roundhead early yesterday morning, THE STAR has learnt.

Three men, it is reported went to the deejay's Chancery Hall home at about 4 a.m. and held up an occupant of the house, took a portion of Roundhead's jewellery, his passport, the keys to his red 1995 Toyota Landcruiser, and drove away with it.

A distraught Roundhead told THE STAR yesterday that during the robbery he was actually present at the home, but was far away from the action.

"I was in a different section of the house, cause we a do some painting inside," the deejay, a part of the Monster Shack crew which also include, deejay General B and singer Ghost, explained. "Mi couldn't stand the paint scent so I go over to another section and lock in myself while the man who a do the painting stayed at the other side."

According to Roundhead, he had just drove in just minutes before, but as soon as he went inside and locked the doors they pounced on the occupant who was responsible for the painting of the house.

"Him seh three a dem rush him, two with gun and one wid a knife. Dem tek out mi passport, chain dem, the van key, and then drive off... it look like they were watching the place long time," Roundhead said.

The deejay told THE STAR that he was extremely frustrated and disappointed by the robbery, more so because he could not figure out what anyone would want with his passport. For the past year, he has been in and out of the island doing a few overseas shows along with Ninja Kid, Kiprich and Elephant Man. His most recent music video appearance was in Elephant Man's Jook Gal along with American rappers Twista and Young Bloods, now playing on BET.

"The jeep and the passport rest more pon mi mind than anything else, trust me," he complained. "Imagine mi just come back from foreign Tuesday and a man have mi passport now. Dis just a go complicate things."

The Constant Spring police confirmed the robbery and told THE STAR that the vehicle was recovered late yesterday evening in the Hunts Bay police area. No arrests has been made in connection with the find or the robbery.

Roundhead burst on to the entertainment scene in the early 90s with his pastor-sytle of deejaying. Some of his more famous hits include, Bus Weh, Woman, Boom Bye Bye, Born Again and others.
