Bounty Killer will definitely not be appearing at Best Of The Best 2008 due to not securing a US work permit. Although there are also doubts about Mavado's appearance, Bounty Killer's management has confirmed that The Warlord will not appear at the much anticipated show this weekend in downtown Miami, Florida.

Bounty Killer - not at Best Of Best 2008Best Of The Best, the annual Memorial Weekend event held at Bicentennial Park, 1075 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, will be without heavy hitter Bounty Killer. The promoters for the event however, are not confirming that Bounty Killer will not be performing. According to Patricia, and administrative assistant for Joey Budefuco stated, "I didn't hear about him (Bounty Killer having problems with travel documents), I heard about Mavado, and as far as we know, they will all still be performing".

Word from Bounty Killer's management in an official press release stated, "The management of Bounty Killer regrettably announces that he will not be appearing at this year's staging of the 'Best of the Best'." The statement continued by saying, "Bounty's work permit had expired some time ago and due to a number of factors conspiring against us - an administrative backlog, his passport needing to be renewed, the US Embassy in Kingston's overloaded appointment system, and his intensive travel schedule (for example, the European tour), he could not get the work permit application processed and an appointment at the embassy in time for this weekend."

Another representative went on to say, "They tried everything humanly possible to fast track this process, but time simply ran out. We are only just going public with the situation because up until the embassy closed for the public holiday, we were still trying."

Patrons are going to be sorely disappointed if not only Bounty Killer but also Mavado does not appear at the much anticipated show, however there are no shortage of top acts on the bill including the Original Don Dada Supercat attempting to make a comeback, Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Sizzla, Junior Reid, Barrington Levy, Machel Montano, Tarrus Riley, Etana, Dean Frasier, Assassin, Serani, Bling Dawg, New Kidz, Shifta, Demarco, Bugle, Screechy Dan, Rockefella and Dilly Chris.
