Noise Productions decided to treat Buju Banton like royalty upon his arrival on Holy Thursday at Piarco Airport in Trinidad for the "I Am Legend Concert" with Beres Hammond at the Queen's Park Savannah.
Buju after clearing Customs and exiting the airport greeted his fans saying he was "happy to be back home". Noise Productions, headed by Joel "Signal To Noise" Morris, of Chinese Laundry fame, made an attempt to make Buju, affectionately known as Gargamel feel like a big time celebrity by hiring the services of a limousine to transport the artist from the airport to his hotel.
Buju put up a resistance so to speak before jumping in the car and heading to Port Of Spain. Buju told representatives of Noise Productions "that he did not care for such extravagance". Buju's Shiloh Band is expected to join him on stage for the concert that has taken three years to plan. This was due to the hectic schedules of both Buju Banton and Beres Hammond.
Beres and Buju have combined over the years on countless hits and it is a special treat for the TnT fans to have both on stage at the same venue together. Not even their birth land of Jamaica has witnessed this spectacle for quite some time.
Beres Hammond and his Harmony House band is expected to arrive today in Trinidad.
