Shakira, Diana Ross and Rod Stewart are confirmed headliners for the annual Plymouth Jazz Festival to be held in Tobago on April 27, 2008. Other top confirmed entertainers include Steel Pulse and Jill Scott.
Along with local acts including Image, Roy Cape and the Woodbrook Playboyz Steelband, the foreign acts will enhance the international reputation and flavor of the successful franchise. Other islands including Jamaica, Barbados and most notably St. Lucia also host very successful annual jazz festivals.Artistes who have already signed contracts to appear on April 25 are Peabo Bryson, James Ingram, Smokey Robinson and Scott. Among the foreign artistes who will appear on April 26 are Steel Pulse, Shakira and En Vogue.
CEO Tony Maharaj of CL Communications confirmed the above and also stated that there is another top international act to be signed and also a number of local artistes to be added to the bill for the 2008 Plymouth Jazz Festival.
