Akon has been formally charged in connection with an incident in upstate New York. Akon physically lifted one fan and threw him into the audience injuring another fan in the process. This all occurred after the crowd alleged that the guy threw a projectile at Akon while he was on stage performing. Akon will be in court on Monday in Fishkill, NY for an arraignment hearing into the matter.

Akon - charged on misdemeanor and harassment chargesAccording to multiple news sources Akon has been charged with a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment. This all occurred at a concert in June in Fishkill, New York. For more information on that incident including the video of Akon tossing the fan back into the crowd is available here.

The kid who was tossed is not the one who is part of the misdemeanor and harassment charges. It is the girl who the boy fell on. She claims she suffered a concussion as a result of the incident. Akon will appear in court on Monday for an arraignment on the charges. The need to toss the young fan into the crowd appeared to be very unnecessary judging by the video.

This all occurred shortly after Akon's infamous dirty dancing in Trinidad at Zen nightclub with teenager Dinah Alleyne. The video of the over sexually explicit dance at Zen, was broadcasted all over the world on YouTube, CNN, MSNBC and here at ttgapers. No charges were filed against Akon in connection with the incident at Zen.
