Trinidad and Tobago

The crime wave and in turn the number of murders in Trinidad and Tobago has once again increased. With murder rate at 327 for the year, the National Security Minister Martin Joseph met with reporters to apprise them of updates on the crime situation. Joseph claims to have underestimated the task.

For the past week, the dailies in Trinidad including the Trinidad Express and Trinidad Guradian has for the most part published stories of crimes, some bad and some gruesome to say the least.
Jerimiah Noel - reunited with Nekeisha
The incumbent Minister Of National Security Martin Joseph in a statement said, "To be honest with you, I thought that the job of work I had here in terms of the Ministry of National Security, I think I underestimated the extent of the work and the length of time it would have taken." Makes one wonder if he is really living in Trinidad.

A sample of the news today is an example of crime in Trinidad and Tobago. Two drug dealers were killed, one associated with Dole Chadee. Marcus Lewis, 60 was a known drug dealer. Two other drug dealers were murdered execution style in St. James also. Gang leader, Terrance "Satan" Cedono was also murdered. Police stated it would be difficult to find his murderers since he had many enemies. "Cedeno, 31, survived three murder charges, an attempt on his life last year, and evaded the law and rival gangsters for almost a decade."

Hardware store owner Doyle Sieunarine, 69, of Kelly Village, Caroni was bound, gagged, beaten and strangled by three men recently. This all occurred after his wife and him went to put garbage outside their house. In other news, a baby recently kidnapped in Trinidad from the hospital was reunited with her mother. A young couple have been charged in connection with the kidnapping. Noel and Sheldon Henry were ecstatic to be reunited with their baby.

At least one happy ending for another week in sweet Trinidad and Tobago.
