Former Attorney General, Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj, has hit back at Prime Minister Patrick Manning. This after Manning revealed it was Maharaj who gave him details of former Prime Minister Basdeo Panday's house in England. Maharaj, in a campaign stop, held a picture of the house the Manning allegedly owns through his son David Manning.

Maharaj has now hit back, and hit back hard with his latest revelation. According to Maharaj, the information appeared on his doorstep from a source which appears to be a disgruntled PNM supporter. The letter read, "Mr Maharaj, I do not support you. But Manning wants to get rid of Valley, Hinds, Rowley and Imbert because they do not support a new constitution that gives him all the power."
Patrick Manning
Apparently, a heavily loaded financier of the PNM conducted private investigations of all UNC Alliance candidates but also PNM candidates, including Prime Minister Patrick Manning.

The letter continued, "He also investigated Manning, since Manning was to cut all our stalwart throats. He is now talking about photographs of Panday's house. We now want to give you the Manning photos, of his house in Germany which he got for his son David."

"Manning met Laurencini, a top official of an oil company, at a popular Hilton hotel in Germany, this company does business in Trinidad. Manning got a house for his son David through this top official and he gave money to Manning through his son David." The house is labeled as "#5522624 David Manning Investigation, Germany."

Also, Maharaj received a call shortly after opening the brown envelope package containing the sordid details. The caller stated that Manning also received money via his son David Manning. The money was initially supposed to be used to pay for David's tuition at a polytechnic school. The money instead was given to Patrick Manning.

Manning in response dismissed the allegations. Maharaj however, would like Manning to explain to the people of Trinidad and Tobago the allegations presented. Manning said in response, "I have been investigated five times already and came out with a clean bill of health on all occasions. It is nothing but an indication of the desperation of those in opposition, to us in the political arena."

Remember, remember the 5th of Novemeber.
