The long awaited Cure Fest concert series by Jah Cure, including the much hyped Longing For concert on October 14, 2007 can be viewed LIVE on the Internet. Artists for Longing For concert include Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Capleton, Ninjaman and Jah Cure amongst others. The Cure Fest is on Heroes Holiday Weekend of October 12-14, 2007 at various locations in Trelawny and Montego Bay.

Jah CureJah Cure who was recently released after serving prison time for robbery and rape in Jamaica is touted in some circles as the next Bob Marley. The Cure is truly blessed with a beautiful voice. Jah Cure has released four albums to date, three of which were produced while behind bars in Jamaica. A scheduled concert date in the United Kingdon (UK), was halted after complaints by women rights' groups. The Home Office agreed that Jah Cure would not be good for English society.

This has not kept the Cure down, as the Cure Fest is arguably the most anticipated concert series in Jamaica this year. It will be hosted at the recently commissioned Trelawny Multipurpose Stadium, constructed last year for the World Cup Of Cricket 2007 held in the West Indies.

Cure Fest starts on October 12, 2007 with a party themed Refelctions and features the All White Birthnight for Jah Cure. The event will be held at the Starfish Hotel in Trelawny and is all inclusive at a cost of US$60 or J$4000. The next day features a sound system showdown hosted by MC Nuffy at Pier 1 in Montego Bay.

Music for 45's Cure include Danger Zone, Black Chiney, Little Richie, Sky Juice, Stone Love, Fire Links, Renaissance, Razz and Biggy, Super Twitch and many others including GT Taylor.

The Cure Fest culminates on Sunday October 14, 2007 in Trelawny, with the huge Looking For concert. Artists on the bill include Jah Cure himself, Morgan Heritage, Tarrus Riley, Barrington Levy, Bounty Killer, Capleton, Junior Reid, Sizzla, Wayne Marshall, Coco Tea, I-Wayne, Frisco Kid, Movado, Beenie Man, Ninjaman, Lady Saw, Ce'cile, Lutan Fyah, Chuck Fender, Jah Mason, Kevin Little, Spragga Benz, Jigsy King, Mr. Easy, Ghost, Little Hero, George Nooks, and T.O.K.

The lineup is more impressive that years of Sunsplash and Sumfest and hopefully everything runs smoothly. The cost for the online broadcast is very reasonable. Before October 14 it is US$ 6.95, and on the day of the broadcast it is US$ 9.95. ttgapers.com cannot guarantee service or quality of the broadcast. Hopefully it is as good as the lineup and should be excellent.
