There is outrage in England today after an interview with Jack Warner, FIFA Vice President and CONCACAF President, and the BBC. Mr. Warner is strongly opposed to giving Europe and or England the World Cup for 2018, since it is the next time that CONCACAF will be eligible to host the World Cup. A petition online has been setup to Fire Jack Warner.

Jack WarnerIn the interview with the BBC, Warner made his feelings very clear stating, "If the World Cup were to go to Europe, I'm quite sure, with the English luck as it is, they won't get it". He continued, "There are moves to give it to England. I must fight that."

Jack Warner continued his attack on England with further statements that is raising temperatures across the country. "Nobody in Europe likes England. England invented the sport but has never made any impact on world football", he stated in his interview to be rebroadcast on BBC today. "I really don't believe that we should just lay down and play dead to anyone who wants to take the World Cup from CONCACAF," he said.

Warner's belief is that other countries in Europe will get to be the hosts of World Cup 2018 before England. "It will be Italy, Spain, or even France who will get the World Cup if it goes to Europe".

Franz Beckenbauer disagrees with Warner's assessment stating, "The Premier League at the moment is the best league in Europe and the stadiums are outstanding. In my opinion, there is only one very serious candidate and it is England."

Rabid English supporters have already setup a petition online calling for FIFA to Fire Jack Warner.
