Fire officials took more than half an hour to arrive, and as such the body was left at the bottom of the pool. The body was dragged the full length of the pool and then taken away by Armstrong's Funeral Home by 3 pm.

Trinidad Hilton General Manager Ali Khan is out of the country, and other officials at the Hilton refused to comment on the drowning. In October 2004 17 year old Shawn Antoine also drowned in the Hilton pool after getting into difficulty. Belmont Police are following up with the investigations on this matter.
