News reports today are claiming that Vindra Naipaul-Coolman was kept in an unfinished house at La Puerta Avenue, Diego Martin during her kidnap and murder ordeal. In other developments, the tenth suspect arrested at Piarco Airport recently is said to be a key figure in the kidnapping.
Police are also saying the tenth suspect arrested at Piarco Airport on route to St. Vincent, is a key player in the murder kidnapping case of Vindra Naipaul-Coolman. Naipaul-Coolman was snatched from her home at Lange Park, Chaguanas, on December 19, 2006.
"Everybody talking about the house. Everywhere you go is only talk about the house," said an elderly woman yesterday. The house making the area famous but in a bad way."
The house has no front door, windows, curtains, electrical or telephone wiring which makes a house a home. Instead residents are labeling it as a notorious drug and sex hangout for the youths in the area.
"When you pass through the back you enter the hills on the other side. There takes you way up on the other side,” said a man who did not want to be identified. When asked on his opinion on whether Vindra might have been kept there, the man replied, "How in God’s name is that possible? Look how close people living. You expect men to keep a body in there and no one see or smell anything?"
Another resident provided some more information on the activities at the house saying, "The boys bring young girls in there for sex. Sometimes three men having sex with one young girl at the same time. That is the norm. Sex and smoking weed. But mostly for sex with the young girls."
In addition, the tenth suspect, to be named later, was taken back to La Puerta, where his parents house was searched and articles of clothing removed as part of the investigation. Police confirmed the suspect did not live with his parents but was "in and out of the house." Pieces of ceiling were removed from another house at Hillcrest Drive, just off La Puerta Road. The tenth suspect is expected to be charged later today.
