Bermuda police are continuing enquiries into the death of a Trinidad and Tobago national, who was found with several stab wounds about the body at a house in Derwent Lane, Devonshire, a suburb of Bermuda's capital, Hamilton.

Dead is Marcus Gibbings.

The Express understands that Gibbings, 34, was employed with a telecommunications firm on the island and was in the process of divorcing his wife back in Trinidad.

Officers from the Bermuda police remained guarded with the facts surrounding the case yesterday, stating that they were attempting to contact the man's relatives in Trinidad.

The Express understands, however, that around 12.35 p.m. yesterday, investigators received information with regards to Gibbings, following which they went to the apartment where they found his body.

Up to last night, there was no official motive behind the killing, but the Express understands that Gibbons may have been in an altercation with someone he knew.
