Is Sizzla alive or dead? That is the question that is on the minds of many after rumours of his demise hit the silent streets on Hero's Day. Calls have reached THE STAR from as far as Trinidad and Tobago asking whether the entertainer, whose real name is Miguel Collins, was killed in a car accident.

The mounting anxiety for the truth caused Kalonji Records, Sizzla's label, to issue a statement to dispel the fast-growing rumour.

Sizzla not dead"The hoax about Sizzla Kalonji circulating on the Internet is false! Concerned friends and fans of one of the most renowned Reggae stars have been in an urgent frenzy in response to an alleged fatal car accident news story on the Internet. The fake Internet news story website has been identified and will be addressed," the release said.

Touring

According to the release, Sizzla has been touring the world and spreading the importance of good education locally. THE STAR tried on numerous occasions to get a comment from Sizzla but his public relations representative, Homer Harris, said Sizzla did not want to speak to anyone. Sizzla is also said to be busy in August Town building a Tabernacle for the upcoming Binghi celebrations on the weekend.

Harris also mentioned that Sizzla appeared Tuesday on Irie FM with Elise Kelly. A call to Irie also confirmed that information. He said that Sizzla's camp has also received phone calls from the Unites States about the rumours. It is not known where the rumours started.

The press release also stated that, "the innovators of the hoax should know that Jah Jah run tings ah no dem."
