Wrexham will be without Dennis Lawrence for at least one game next month as the defender aims to take Trinidad & Tobago to the World Cup for the first time.

Lawrence has been named in the T&T squad for the two-legged play-off with Bahrain on 12 and 16 November.

Wrexham play Oxford on the same date as the first leg, and the tough travelling schedule could see Lawrence rested for the next league game on 19 November.

Trinidad & Tobago beat Mexico last week to claim their play-off place.

The first leg will be played in their capital of Port of Spain, with the return leg played away in Manama.

And if the Soca Warriors make it through to the finals in Germany, Lawrence would become the first player to reach the World Cup while playing for Wrexham.
