Barbados police are likely to charge three men in connection with the murder of a British tourist, who was gunned down during a robbery in the west coast tourist area of St. James last week.

Police said the men are now in custody in relation to the death of 19-year-old Daniel Christopher May.

The authorities said one man was apprehended last Friday after being released from the main Queen Elizabeth Hospital, while another was detained over the weekend.

Investigators said a third man, accompanied by his lawyer, turned himself in to the police last Saturday.

Police also reported that a post mortem conducted last Friday on May's body revealed that the cause of death was shock and haemorrhage from gunshot injuries.
