Perhaps it was Machel Montano?s ?Craziness? that led a uniformed cop to break loose on Carnival Tuesday...

Or it may be that the officer could no longer endure the gyrating bodies of some of the country?s beautiful women, some of whom wined on on-duty cops.
Whatever it was, the uniformed cop suddenly appeared in Legends mas band approximately five minutes before they took to the Victoria Square stage just after 8 pm.
Ironically, Police Commissioner Everald Snaggs, on horseback, was seen about 15 minutes before the cop emerged.
No one knew where the officer came from, but he appeared at the back of the ?Temptation? section, wining and dancing to Montano?s ?Craziness.?
A male onlooker with a video camera attempted to take footage of the cop but he used his hat to block his face, then disappeared into the night.
But that was not the end of him. He again surfaced, this time in the midst of ?Temptation,? which had just crossed the Victoria Square stage.
Cap and bag in hand, the uniformed officer again started to gyrate and found himself sandwiched between two ?Temptation? masqueraders.
Several revellers rushed to the uniformed officer, asking what he was doing in the band.
?Ah done wuk,? the cop said.
He added that he had been on duty since 3 am Tuesday and that it was time for him to stop working.
Asked if he was an SRP, the officer stared at one masquerader and then pointed to his regimental number (withheld) on his grey shirt.
The cop continued to dance for a few minutes then said he had to leave. He then placed his hat on his head and left, carrying a white plastic bag in his left hand.
The bag appeared to have remnants of food.
When contacted yesterday, a senior officer said the policeman should not have been in the band.
?He is not supposed to do that,? the senior officer said.
Another police source said the officer could face disciplinary charges and lamented that it is situations like this that gives the Police Service a bad name.
