News: Five in custody for Blue Basin murders

Five persons who are assisting police with investigations into last weekend's Blue Basin double murder, as well as the kidnapping and shooting of a woman, appeared in court yesterday on possession of marijuana, arms and ammunition charges.

Adrian Pompey - held for Blue Basin murdersJamarly Rolle, Adrian Pompey, Kevin Emmanuel aka Mutena Rolle, Kenya McMillan and Isaac Estrada appeared before Magistrate Maureen Baboolal-Gafoor in the Port of Spain Fifth Magistrates' Court.

The five, aged 18 to 23, were charged with possession of a .38 revolver, ammunition and compressed marijuana.

They were remanded into police custody and ordered to re-appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate on Monday.

The men were held on Tuesday at Bridge Road, Blue Basin in Diego Martin as police investigated the murders of schoolgirl Elenor Cupid, 15, and Kevin Cassie, and the kidnapping and shooting in the head of Vandana Linda Ali.
