The home of comedienne Rachel Price was shot at early yesterday morning following an incident at a party, where Price went to pick up a friend.

At around 5.30 a.m. Price was at home with her daughter and some friends when a vehicle pulled up in front of her La Puerta apartment building in Diego Martin and a man came out, police said.. The man, it was reported, then stood up in front of the building and fired several shots at Price's upstairs apartment.
Price later told the Daily Express the incident had its genesis at Friday night's Sex in the City party.
Price said she attended the special invitation party which was held near Queen's Park West, Port of Spain.
She said she attended the party with her boyfriend and some female associates. She said they enjoyed themselves and left.
"When we left we decided to get something to eat. We reached as far as St James when I got a call from my friend Damian 'Goofy' Evans saying 'they' ambushed him in the party.."
Price explained that "Goofy" was a long standing friend, who was in an ongoing conflict with a group over a girl. The "they" in the ambush referred to that group.
"When he called it was a distress call he wanted us to come and get him, so we turned around to go pick him up."
Price said when they returned to the party's location her boyfriend "went into the party in a rage and I went to look for Goofy."
She said when they located her friend, and even as security was assisting him to get into the vehicle a mob descended on both Goofy and her boyfriend and beat them..
Also present at what eventually erupted into a major fracas outside of the party were members of the Gambino gang,it was learned. Sources said one person .allegedly associated with the gang had intervened to stop the fight before it turned into an all out brawl , and was struck.
Price said Goofy was in a bad state and had a cut on his head.
She sad eventually they got into the car while Goofy got into another friend's vehicle and they left.
Price said she returned home and began to settle down, when Goofy again called saying he was bleeding and was coming over to her home.
"They followed him to my home and shot up the place," she said.
"I was in my bedroom, I just ran for my child to see she was alright. My front door was open because a friend was sitting out on the porch. She did not even realise what was happening."
Asked about initial reports about the fight being between two feuding sound system groups, Price said that was not what it was.
"It just happens that the fight took place between Goofy, who is associated with one particular sound system and members of a different sound system. But it had nothing to do with a sound system feud. In fact the man who Goofy is in conflict with is not a member of a sound group, but is close friends with members of the particular sound system. But it was really all over a girl," she said.
