Miss Trinidad and Tobago Kenisha Thom has made it to the top 10 in the Miss World competition in China.
By Anna RamdassThom is the only candidate from the English speaking Caribbean to be selected among the top ten in the pageant.
Thom will move on to the final stage of the competition which will be held in Sanya, China on December 4.
Also in the top 10 Angola, Belgium, Chinese Taipei, Czech Republic, Greece, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Russia, and Spain.
The fashion show where the top ten were selected was held at the Sanya's Universal Resort where breathtaking fashion designs were modeled.
Placing in the top three of the ten selected were Mexico, Belgium and Angola.
In previous competitions leading up to the pageant , Thom tied for third in the Miss World Sport competition and she also placed third in the swimsuit competition.
One of the favourites at the pageant, Thom was also a finalist in the talent competition.
