An ambulance was summoned but apparently it was already too late. He was taken to Andrews Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The attending doctor said he died about 7 minutes before arriving.
Simpleton - Quarter To Twelve
Our brother Simpleton who was known for the massive hits "Coco Cola Shape" and "Quarter To Twelve", and other songs including "I Spy", "Jah Never Break His Promise", laid peacefully on the stretcher as if to say it's just my time and I have to go.

He will be missed by the whole Vertex Family and the entire dancehall fraternity as well!
