Ian Moscow's respect is tall, of that there is no doubt. The man deh a Hell in the US, and is never likely to see the outside world again, yet still his community in Waterhouse kept a Birthday Bash in his honour on Saturday night...

Held right in Moscow square, the dance followed the usual pattern of ghetto dances nowadays and didn't get ram 'til 4am.

Local sounds Exquisite and the legendary Cornerstone did an excellent job of entertaining the crowd with old and new tunes, as a group of local teenage boys stole the dancing show from John Hype and crew.

At 5am Tony Matterhorn ran a half hour segment, made up nearly entirely of dubs on his Scoobay riddim.

The first artist to appear on the stage was Bounty Killer, dressed in a cream white suit and bucket lid. He spat some tunes on the Sleng Teng, before Angel Doolas joined him and they did some of their gal tunes.

Soon Predator was up there bussing the place, quickly joined by Earthworm who got a nice forward for his chalice tune. As the Coolie Dance played Jagwa stepped up and delivered his big tune on the beat and received a nice forward.

Bling Dawg has been garnering great response at all his live appearances recently and this was no exception. Danny English added his weight to proceedings, as the small stage started to get crowded.

Then something extraordinary happened. Bounty Killer finished a lyrics and several hands stretched for the mic.

"Hold on," boomed Killer, parting the crowd on stage. The screams from the crowd swelled as they realised it was none other than the Doctor himself who was being handed the mic by Killer.

With a look of utter surprise on his face, Beenie looked at a smiling Bounty Killer. "Bounty Killer, everything alright?!?!" he asked, before jumping into a lyrics.

As Matterhorn ran the Sick riddim, Beenie handed the mic back to Bounty and the one-for-one started. The energy created when these two are on stage together is irresistible and the crowd was going crazy as they exchanged lyrics, even singing back-up for each other. "Make dem know the eagle and the hawk dem surround we," sang Beenie, whilst Bounty danced and grinned when Beenie was deejaying. Beenie is a Waterhouse native and Bounty is from across Spanish Town Rd in Seaview and there could have been no more appropriate place on the planet than Moscow for this to happen again.

Then, the niceness ended abruptly as the hand of Merciless reached for the mic from Beenie. Despite not being advertised for the dance, Merciless wanted to show his respect for Ian Moscow, but perhaps he chose the wrong moment to do so.

As he began the first line of "We lend out wi mercy" Killer and half the dance were already walking through the gate. It was unfortunate, because it has been 2 or 3 years since Bounty and Beenie have been on stage rhyming together like that.

As RJ.com reached the gate, Merciless started to DJ "get Sting and run." Bounty Killer was outside of the gate with a crowd around him, and as Merciless started that tune, it invoked the ire of some of the local steppers who were present.

Moscow is Bounty Killer's yard and they were intent on drawing Merciless off the stage, but Killer told them to leave it and proceeded to his car. The crowd began to boo Merciless and the dance was well and truly mashed up as daylight broke out above.
